(and my digression into the weighty contribution of eye color to the overall beauty of women…)
Perhaps I watch too much TV; there are too many entertaining shows being developed these days. Yes, there’s where I shall squarely place the blame.
I have a fairly reliable way to quickly determine whether a particular episode of any TV show is worth watching. To demonstrate, I’ll use today (this Saturday afternoon) as an example. I am limited to Comcast Basic Cable in my basement dwelling, which means I have only a few channels (up through channel 20).
First, I open the TV listings at TVguide.com and check out what TV shows are coming on in the next couple of hours.
I see that the next airing of a show that I occasionally watch occurs today at 5pm (Nashville time): that’s when the TV show Bones starts. According to TVguide.com, today’s episode of Bones is called “The Dentist in the Ditch.”
Second, I open Google in a new browser window (using Chrome or Firefox) and search for these exact terms:
bones dentist in the ditch tv.com
When I use those search terms, the first Google result is always the one I’m looking for: the summary of this episode of this TV show on TV.com. (In other words, I Google the TV show name followed by the episode title followed by tv.com.) In this case, the URL is:
http://www.tv.com/bones/the-dentist-in-the-ditch/episode/1318865/summary.html
This Bones episode, “The Dentist in the Ditch,” has a score of 9.0 (superb) based on 344 votes. 9.0 is a fantastic rating for an episode; the most typical ratings of TV show episodes seem to be between 5.5 and 8.5.
Conclusion
Today’s Bones episode, “The Dentist in the Ditch,” is one of the better Bones episodes; therefore, if I like Bones and feel like watching TV at 5pm today, then I will probably watch this episode.
However, I popped in Night Watch (a Russian horror movie) earlier, so I might miss Bones altogether – meaning I’d miss a healthy dose of the absolutely ravishing Emily Deschanel.
Emily Deschanel happens to be a wonderful example of how much a woman’s eye color can actually contribute to her overall beauty, IMHO; I find light-colored eyes – blue or green, for example – to be quite captivating. Both Emily and her sister Zooey have these wonderfully beautiful eyes…
(I am instantly reminded of the famous National Geographic photo of that Afghan girl with beautiful green eyes.)
NOTE: As usual, you may see different images within this post by clicking your browser’s refresh button or visiting this page again later; each image on this page of Bones, Emily Deschanel, and the Deschanel sisters is selected at random from folders containing multiple images of each.

Thanks for the tip about how to see others’ ratings for a TV episode! There are a few shows that I only watch occasionally on Netflix. I’ll never see all of the episodes so I might as well watch the best ones.
